Tujhe Meri Kasam

Tujhe Meri Kasam

Cast:-

Ritesh Deshmukh, Ginni, Shakti Kapoor, Asrani, Satish Shah, Vijayendra Ghatge, Jaspal Bhatti

Story:-
Ushakiron Movies' Tujhe Meri Kasam is a love story with a difference. Two childhood friends - a girl and a boy - grow up as neighbours and best buddies. Their families are also close to each other. Studying in college, their friendship is unparalleled. Once, the girl goes to Bangalore for a week. During this time, the boy misses her so much that he realises that his friendship has blossomed into love for her. Scared to reveal his feelings to her for fear of losing a good and true friend forever, he never broaches on the topic.

Then one day, another college boy proposes to the girl who then asks her best friend for his advice in the matter. Still unable to muster courage to tell her of his feelings, he lets her accept the other boy's proposal for marriage. When the two are about to be married, the realisation that she would have to leave her childhood friend to settle in America sinks in.

She develops cold feet and wants to call off the marriage. Quite innocently, she asks her childhood friend why he had never proposed to her so that they would never have had to separate. That does it - the boy, in a rush of emotions, makes it amply clear that he was madly in love with her but had refrained from telling her lest he lose her friendship. The girl insists that she get married to her childhood friend but the latter explains to her that it was now too late. In the end, of course, true love triumphs.

The film comes across as a whiff of fresh air with cute jokes and funny incidents galore in the first half. The second half also has its share of light moments but it has drama too. It is here that the racy entertainer takes a dip. The emotions in the second half don't come across as pronouncedly as they should've to draw tears from the audience's eyes. Had there been three or four scenes to tug at the heart-strings, the drama would have been an altogether different thing. In short, the viewer's heart doesn't cry for the lovers - and no love story can make an indelible mark unless the drama prompts the audience to almost pray that the lovers unite.

Although the light scenes are thoroughly enjoyable, there's a limit to the extent to which the entertainment can be stretched. After a point of time in the second half, the viewer gets the impression that if the characters can't help themselves, why should he (viewer) feel for them? The boy remaining silent even while the girl he loves is about to get married to another guy is not what a Hindi film viewer wants of his hero. He should have been shown to be either emotionally miserable or revolting against her decision. But he almost appears to have resigned himself to fate. Hindi film heroes chart out their own fates, they don't accept destiny so easily! This weak point notwithstanding, the film does have quite a few plusses too.Remake of the Telugu blockbuster Nuvve Kaavali, the film also has ordinary music to weigh down its chances.

Ritesh Deshmukh makes a confident debut as the hero. He is very good with poker-faced comedy and underplays his character of a subdued lover, to advantage. A natural actor, the boy could do with a little restraint in his over-enthusiastic dancing. Debutante Genelia D'Souza is natural to the core. She impresses in emotional scenes (thanks also to the dubbing) and is good in light scenes too. She needs to improve in dancing. Shreya, as the second heroine, is wonderful. Her falling down again and again is a funny-cum-emotional punch.

Raja does a restrained job and looks cute. Vrajesh Hirjee is superb. Supriya Pilgaonkar is absolutely first-rate in a comic role. Unfortunately, however, her appeal would be limited to Maharashtra. Satish Shah is excellent. Shakti Kapoor is also very good. Tiku Talsania evokes laughter at several places. Sushma Seth is brilliant! Asrani leaves a mark. Jaspal Bhatti is quite good. Supriya Karnik and Anooradha Patel get minimal scope. Vijayendra Ghatge makes his presence felt in the single sequence he appears in. Anil Dhawan, Sheela Sharma and the rest lend good support.Neeraj Vora's dialogues deserve special mention. His writing gives the impression that the man is a truly keen observer of human behaviour. A lot of the comedy is thanks to his excellent dialogues.

K. Vijaya Bhaskar's direction is good but his treatment of emotional scenes leaves something to be desired. He has extracted excellent performances from out of his cast. The film holds more appeal for the youth. Viju Sha's music is good but the absence of a hit track is sorely felt. The title song, 'Balle balle' and 'Azaadi' are melodious. Song picturisations should have been far better, considering that the film stars new faces. Camerawork is fairly good. The typical screeching effect in background music (when some character's leg is pulled) is a master stroke and enhances the comic effect.

On the whole, Tujhe Meri Kasam entertains but does not come across as a wholesome entertainer. Comedy-heavy, it lacks in emotional and musical value. The film definitely has merits to pick up by mouth publicity, mainly in cities, but its start is so slow that even the pick-up may not ultimately help it much. Business in Bombay and Maharashtra will be far better than the rest of the country.

BARDAASHT is yet another film that exposes the corrupt few in the police force. In this case, the villains [cops] are painted black without beating around the bush.A number of similar-sounding flicks have been witnessed in the past [the innocent versus the corrupt], but what makes BARDAASHT rise to a watchable level is E. Niwas' deft execution of the subject.

cash........

Cash Starring:-
Ajay Devgan,Ritesh Deshmukh,Zayed Khan,Esha Deol,Shamita Shetty,Suniel Shetty,Diya Mirza

Story:-
CASH is a high-octane heist thriller set in Cape Town, South Africa with top stars like Ajay Devgan, Suneil Shetty, Esha Deol, Dia Mirza, Zayed Khan, Shamita Shetty and Riteish Deshmukh in pivotal roles.

For all those who have seen Anubhav's DUS can expect a little more, in fact quite a lot. Esha Deol played love interest of Abhishek Bachchan in DUS but was sort of a grey character. She again plays a robber in CASH. Ajay Devgan as one of the leads should make the audience rest assured of great acting and stunts. Director Anubhav Sinha's last film DUS generated rave reviews for its action sequences, cinematography and fabulous music. In fact if sources are to be believed the actors have performed some of their difficult stunts. CASH is all about money and life... most of it is about money. They are all negative, all cons; they are all thieves running after some diamonds. There are some complications and some resolutions... and finally... CASH. Yes it's all about cash. The whole story is about cash, heists and diamonds, four male characters, and three female characters and one beautiful picturesque location and thumping songs.

The film revolves around an ace con artist, played by Ajay Devgan who hires a set of top-notch robbers (Esha Deol, Zayed Khan, Dia Mirza and Riteish Deshmukh) to steal a set of priceless diamonds in South Africa. The group also faces a threat from underworld don Suniel Shetty, who is after the same diamonds and also the Head of Security Shamita Shetty. How these three groups manage to thwart each other forms the rest of the story and makes it a non-stop adventure caper.

CASH is one of the first films to be shot exclusively in the breathtaking locales of Cape Town in South Africa. Audiences can expect never seen before action-packed sequences like sky diving, kite surfing, skate boarding and fight scenes in the film, CASH is the first ever comic thriller of a film.

Story of "MASTI"

MASTI

Ritesh Deshmukh ,
Vivek Oberoi , Aaftabh Shivdasani, Ajay Devgan and Lara Datta........

Story :-

HAWAS, MURDER and now MASTI. For the third consecutive week, the issue of extra-marital relationships hits the marquee. Yet, MASTI is different from films of its ilk.

While HAWAS and MURDER depicted adultery with seriousness, it's exactly the reverse in MASTI. So, is MASTI based on Billy Wilder's THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH [1955; starring Tom Ewell, Marilyn Monroe]? No, it's not even remotely similar to the classic!

Indra Kumar's MASTI is a delightful and witty farce on the subject of sex. It's not the most clever, incisive or charming comedy, but it does most things well and provides value for money in those three hours. Meet [Vivek Oberoi], Amar [Ritesh Deshmukh] and Prem [Aftab Shivdasani] are close friends who've had their share of fun when in college. But when married, they discover the hell behind the heaven, the bickering behind the bliss and the agony behind the ecstasy.

Frustrated with their marital experiences, the trio gear up to do some masti and decide that the only way to spice up their lives is to seek to excitement outside home. And then to meet and exchange notes.

They embark on their wacky and hilarious adventure where they search for forbidden fun. But before they could taste the delicious fruit of bigamy, their adventure comes to a screeching halt. A twist in the tale brings them face-to-face with Sikander [Ajay Devgan], a cop.

What could be worse - a cop suspecting their involvement in a crime or the danger of being exposed in front of their unsuspecting wives?

Indra Kumar is back to where he started. In his directorial debut DIL, the director showed a flair for light entertainers. In DIL and ISHQ later, the director and his team of writers merged light moments and dramatic portions proportionately. But in MASTI, there's no serious moment at all. It attempts to tickle your funny bone and Indra succeeds to a large extent.

Indra opens the cards at the very outset. In fact, the very first song at the start of the film says it all - 'Ek Kunwara Phir Gaya Maara'. After the initial introductions of the characters, the film gets down to business the moment the three friends decide to look beyond their wives for intimate moments.

The escapades of the three protagonists are quite hilarious, especially between Ritesh Deshmukh and Rakhi Sawant. To keep the humour going, a track similar to 'Kantaben' [KAL HO NAA HO] has also been woven in the story [Satish Shah is the 'Kantaben' here!], which is amongst the highpoints of this laughathon.

The film again gathers speed as Lara Dutta enters the scene. And the interval point takes the film to a different high altogether, with the story getting into the crime mould.

Although the post-interval portions have their share of funny and entertaining moments, the pace is erratic in this half. One expects the climax to perk up the proceedings, but the finale lets you down to an extent. The suspense/mystery factor goes out of the window the moment the mystery is solved. A better culmination was the need of the hour, not the formula-ridden end that you get to watch!

MASTI is not for those looking for logic or meaningful cinema and screenplay writers Milap Zaveri and Tushar Hiranandani make no bones about it. The film abounds in hilarious moments - most of them of the nonsensical variety - but they're a pleasure given the essence of the film.

Both Zaveri and Hiranandani deserve marks for presenting a serious issue like adultery in a new avtaar. Zaveri also deserves distinction marks for the witty one-liners [in ample doses]. In fact, the dialogues are the mainstay of the film and only add sheen to an enterprise that's already glowing thanks to the deft handling of the subject matter by the director.

Director Indra Kumar makes you realize that DIL, BETA, RAJA and ISHQ were no flash in the pan. Changing tracks after tackling highly emotional fares like MANN and RISHTEY, the director seems to be in form this time around. Comedy is a difficult emotion to capture on celluloid, but Indra has captured it all like a seasoned veteran. Also, the film looks fresh and even the scenes that the director chose to incorporate are in keeping with the times. Undoubtedly, this is amongst his finest efforts to date.

Anand Raaj Anand's music is like icing on the cake. 'Ek Kunwara', 'Chori Chori' and 'Chain Khuli Ki' are foot-tapping and come at the right point. However, 'Dil De Diya Hai' [excellently rendered by Anand Raaj Anand himself] should be trimmed since it acts as a speed breaker in the pre-climax stages. Mazhar Kamran's cinematography is first-rate.

If MASTI belongs to anyone, it's Aftab Shivdasani. Doing a Jim Carrey, Aftab is absolutely remarkable in the film, proving that his timing for comic sequences is just perfect. He endears to the viewers completely and is sure to walk away with the glory with this performance.

Ritesh Deshmukh follows next with an incredible performance. He looks the character he has been asked to portray ['Fatoo'] and the actor doesn't let you down one bit. If he showed improvement as an actor in his second film [OUT OF CONTROL], he walks five steps ahead in MASTI.

Vivek Oberoi tries hard to look the character, but is not at ease this time around. Though he does reasonably well in a few scenes, the actor in him doesn't really come across so strongly in this fare. However, there's no denying that the chemistry between the three heroes is tremendous!

Ajay Devgan comes in the post-interval portions and does well in a role that seems tailormade. Lara Dutta looks the part she has been asked to portray and she looks convincing.

Amongst the wives, Genelia is the best, followed by Amrita Rao. While Genelia looks the stern and demanding wife and is sure to be noticed, Amrita carries off the over-possessive bit well. Tara Sharma doesn't impress at all.

Satish Shah is superb. In fact, his portions are sure to bring the house down. Archana Puransingh is too good as the mother-in-law. Shahbaaz Khan is alright. Rakhi Sawant leaves a mark in a small role.

On the whole, MASTI has all it takes to appeal to the cinegoers - an impressive star cast, popular music, dollops of comedy and most importantly, sex - not in visuals, but in dialogues and gestures. All these factors combined together will prove advantageous for the film and should take it to the winning post.
